The (no longer 'maybe') List of Crap #126 - Famous Duos

C.Jones said that he didn't much feel like running one of these himself right now, and asked if we wanted to do the only submission he received, Top 50 Duos.

That pronouncement was received by the sound of crickets.



Maybe the LOC is dead (Jim), maybe the subject holds no interest. But I'm posting this to see if there's a pulse.

So, I'll place the soft deadline at MONDAY, JULY 27th, 2020 - if I receive little (let's say 1 to 3) to no lists then we'll just call it a year (or a summer?) and perhaps set up a vote again someday. If folks pop in and say "I'm working on it" I'll give an extension.

I want to stress, this isn't official, I'm just testing interest here. It won't break my heart if it doesn't happen (it would simply be something to pass the time).

Rules:
1. If you haven't read the above, do so. It's important info.

2. Pick 25 duos, ranked from #1 (your toppermost) to #25 (your lesser fave) send via PM to me here, or to Temporary George if you want (old George was using a dead email account, Temporary George is my new laptop)

Eligible
Both real and fictional duos - humans (or robots and anthropomorphic animals), live-action or toons, or inanimate objects. Anything that goes together in pairs... except phrases (some internet lists include phrases, but that just seems dumb to me, so that's the only exclusion).

Emphasis on famous - names you easily connect together (John Wayne and Oliver Hardy had a real nice rapport in a movie they made together, but not really famous as a duo. Hardy had a bigger connection with another guy you might have heard of)

You can pick out pairs from ensemble casts (couples / best friends), or from bands (the songwriting teams, the primary stars, etc)

And you can fill your lists from a variety of sources: There are comedy duos, comic book duos, infamous, criminal duos, historical duos, literary, science duos, TV, film, music, game duos, might even be a super sports duo (and I will allow great rivalries, Like Evert and Navratilova or Borg and McEnroe).

Now I've name-dropped a few, and a googlesearch will yield riches. Plus, Charlie Sexton has offered to help you with your lists, so let's see what happens.

It's going to take me days to figure out a list on this subject. Even narrowing the subject down to just music duos would be a vast pool to select from.

Received another list from persons unknown (they left the forum right after and are listed as a 'guest'), not sure who this is (some of the picks don't fit what I've seen from JU in the past, so if it was him I'd be surprised) But hey, it's a list and while I hope we get several more, I think we can upgrade this from "MAYBE" to definate.

I saw he made 2 posts, and his list was fine for the most part. I don't know that I know the person or have had any experience with them,  so maybe they seem okay... at first. Then build-up to the upsetting people stuff?

Yeah, that's how he operates. He likes to participate on the lists and even managed to host one before getting banned once. It's the weirdest M/O, and he's been at it for like 8 years.

Got a list of 32, just have to sort it down.  It's kind of hard to compare real duos with fictional ones.  I could easily come up with 25 fictional duos but real ones I only got around 15.

My list is in. My duos all came from my usual wheelhouse, so expect a lot of cartoons, video games, and superheroes.
