Hurricane Zeta has strengthened overnight, now packing max winds of ~85 mph according to recon aircraft. Winds in the eyewall could increase to around 100 mph before landfall in SE Louisiana this afternoon.
Outermost rain bands will reach my locale this morning and we could have tropical storm force winds here on Thursday :scared:

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for my area and along and north of I-85. Winds will generally be between 20-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The best time frame for winds will begin late tonight and last through the morning hours tomorrow.  :o

Lots of power outages reported around the area but so far so good where I'm at.

Power was out at my house for around an hour..
A tree two houses up from mine fell and took out the power lines. Police and fire trucks were blocking the road while the power crews fixed the lines.
And the storm is moving out.
