Whenever an actor I'm not familiar with passes, I always check IMDB to see how he or she has impacted me. Today, I learned Max Von Sydow was the voice of Vigo the Carpathian in Ghostbusters 2, which I have probably watched more than any non-Star Wars movie. (He was also in Force Awakens, as a character I don't recognize by name.)

Rest in peace.

I've seen him in at least 15 films, but mostly know him from his collaborations with Ingmar Bergman.

The Seventh Seal obviously, and he was in Wild Strawberries and stars in the really underrated The Magician.

And also in 3 Days of the Condor, which is an incredible film (one of the best beginnings in film)
FINE

The movies I remember him best in is of course Dune (1984) as Doctor Kynes & in Strange Brew as Brewmeister Smith.

That was such a weird, random cameo

Yeah, it felt like either he just wanted to be in a Star Wars movie, or the director wanted to work with him.

Cameo?  I'd say that was way too long of a scene to be considered a cameo.  He was perfect for that part.
