Thrashin' (1986)
« on: April 04, 2019, 10:50:37 PM »
This movie is so full of amazing riff-fodder:
  • Corey meets friends in LA
  • Corey meets Chrissy from Indiana, who happens to be the little sister of Hook, the lead Dagger
  • Lead what? Dagger. You know, like an evil skateboarder gang
  • Sherilyn Fenn Uh what, how'd that get in there?
  • There's a skateboard battle, or joust if you prefer
  • Montage galore
  • Pesky kid brother, who doubles as the butt of a couple of jokes
  • There's a contest... and guess who wins?
Let's make this happen, it's long overdue.  This ranks up there with Breakin', but perhaps with a smidge less popularity.  If, as has been suggested before, music rights present a cost issue, I'd be prepared to back this thing on a Kickstarter.  Surely, somebody else will back me up on this one -- anyone?

All the proof you need is right here:

I second this!  Plus it was directed by David Winters (director of "Space Mutiny") who just passed away.  This is '80s cheese at its... ripest.
