Week 9 is here so we'll see if both the Bills and Panthers can recover from last week..

Meanwhile, the Panthers may have a decision to make with Cam Newton..
Per Ian Rapoport
Quote
Cam Newton out several more weeks, weighing options

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will use the weekend to consider his options on how to proceed with his plan for recovery following a visit to noted foot and ankle expert Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay.

While Newton has been frustrated with how long his Lisfranc injury is taking to heal, surgery was not recommended and is not currently in the plans, sources say. The hope is that more rest will allow the injury to heal without having a procedure that would knock him out months.

While there is no timetable for recovery, Newton is expected to be sidelined several weeks and potentially more. As the Panthers enter Week 9 -- with Kyle Allen starting against the Titans on Sunday -- time is running out for the former league MVP.

That brings Newton to his decision, one that he's weighing after returning home from seeing Anderson, the former assistant team physician.

Being placed on Injured Reserve is on the table for Newton, sources say.

The reason is simply the timing. If he's out more than a month and heals perfectly during that time, is a December return to the field realistic? Maybe not.

Despite being injured in Week 2, Newton still has not healed enough to be able to practice with his teammates. At most, he's worked off to the side doing rehab.

"He's going up and probably seeing one of the best foot doctors," head coach Ron Rivera said Friday before the visit, "and whatever we get from the doctor, I think will probably really impact the decisions going forward."

On Monday, Newton, those close to him, and the Panthers will decide his next move.

KC's QB Mahomes out again against the Vikings.
Packers play the Chargers.
KC @ noon, Packers @ 3, so get to watch both games.

da bears are falling apart...  First half is almost over and the Eagles have 140 yards and the Bears have -3...   Eagles only have 12 points because they got all those yards 4 or 5 at a time.

Eagles went up 19 nothing and then went to sleep for about 15 minutes, almost let da bears take the lead, but a nice long drive to eat up the last 8 minutes sealed it.

KC won on a last second field goal. Backup QB had another good game. If Vikings' kicker hadn't missed both an extra point and a field goal, the Vikings might have won.

Packers' offense having a potential record breaking bad game. Had a total of 51 yards in the first half. Not looking much better halfway through the 3rd quarter. Defense has held Chargers to nothing but field goals so far, but Packers 0, Chargers 12. Looking like that may be all the Chargers need.

Matt Moore used to be the Panthers back up several years ago before he was let go.. We were confused back then as to why he was let go.

Watching the Packers game as well and I think they thought this game would be a cake walk for them :o

Well, not sure any records for suck were really broken but the Packers looked like the Dolphins until the 4th quarter and by then it was too late.

Oh and 3 QB Allens played yesterday:
Josh Allen: Bills
Kyle Allen: Panthers
Brandon Allen: Broncos
This is the first time in NFL history that 3 QBs with the same last name started AND WON their games. :o

Only positive for the Packers this week was that every team in the NFC North lost so they didn't lose the division lead.

With 75% of the temporary stadium that the Rams are using for home games this year filled w/ Packer fans last Sunday, the talk of the Rams moving to London has heated up again. Just a bad idea for a number of reasons.

Panthers place Cam Newton on injured reserve due to nagging foot injury, ending his 2019 season.
It was bound to happen so now we'll see if he's traded/released during the off-season :-\
