The Tao of John Carradine
« on: October 29, 2018, 07:42:36 PM »
"When someone asked me how much it would cost to star in their movie, I'd ask them how much they had in their wallet. Once they told me, I'd say throw in a case of beer and you got a deal. I could have opened up a brewery if I didn't like drinking the stuff so much."

"There are many actors so terrible they only appeared in one movie. I starred with many of those actors."

"I was surprised to learn not every movie is public domain. All of mine are."

Feel free to add any other additions to this list. If John didn't say any of these, I'm sure they still applied.

"My son was in an Ingmar Bergman film the same year I was in Satan's Cheerleaders. Explain that to me."

I feel like this is a stupid question, but are these actual John Carradine quotes?

I imagine him saying "I was in The Grapes of Wrath... and nothing else."

Mine certainly wasn't.

Totally made up. But if you could see him making them, then the joke was a success.
