Epic just announced a Fortnite World Cup. Basically open to the public. No sponsored teams. No leagues. Just folks entering tourneys and qualifying.

I do have the last Smash, and played it for a few weeks, but it didn't hold my interest all that long. I don't really find fighting games all that interesting though.

I'm not big into fighting games either, except for Smash.  For whatever reason I really enjoy the mechanics, and can dump a lot of time into it.  I like that it doesn't force me to memorize long button combos, it's more about reflexes and situational awareness, and adapting to your opponents playstyle.

That's very interesting, because I'm the opposite: I'm into fighting games except for Smash! I got into the N64 game but I couldn't get into others. I bought Brawl but I didn't spend much time in it. On the other hand, games such as the Street Fighter series are ones I really get into.

Now that the afterglow of E3 has faded a bit, I have to admit that Nintendo didn't really tell us anything NEW. We got more information on things we already knew about, and it was good information, but there was no, "Oh, by the way. Here's that new Luigi's Mansion (or whatever) game nobody knew about!

Looks like Nintendo still has their Treehouse thing going on now, so hopefully some info will pop up during that.

Didn't they announce a new Mario Party game for the Switch?

Cyberpunk sounds interesting, but that’s more based on the good feelings I have about its developer and the Witcher series vs what was described. It sounds like pretty generic video game fare that I wouldn’t give a second though if CD Project Red wasn’t involved. Last I heard it was going to be an mmo, but I guess now it’s a single player first person shooter?  Hopefully they release the video of the demo journalists were shown. I read the description, but I’d like to see it in action.

Yeah, the Mario Party game was a surprise, but it feels like there's always a Mario Party coming.

I find it surprising they didn't tease Metroid Prime 4 at ALL. We know it's being worked on!
FINE

Seriously, how does Telltale KNOW everything I'm obsessed with?

http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/06/13/telltale-is-working-on-stranger-things-game-with-netflix

(Granted this one is a pretty safe bet since LOTS of people are obsessed with it, but still...)
