Now Available - Godmonster of Indian Flats

At its heart, this is really a movie about the importance of branding.

The Mutated Sheep Embryo That Kind of Lurches Around Draggling a Vestigial Leg and Screeching of Indian Flats? Not interested! But the Godmonster of Indian Flats? Now you’re talking!

When a shepherd wakes up after getting the crap kicked out of him behind a brothel, he’s disgusted to find that he’s cradling what appears to be a hunk of raw mutton. But it turns out that if you put that mutton in an incubator and bombard it with mysterious Mine Vapors, you can turn it into a gross creature entirely unworthy of the name godmonster.
And this would be a spectacular bad movie even if it DIDN’T have scenes like: a funeral for a dog, but the dog’s not really dead, they’re just faking its death because they are racist. Think that will make any sense once you actually see the movie? You do??? How long have you been watching out stuff!?!

The Godmonster of Ybor City? Please. The Godmonster of Walla Walla? Go to hell! Mike, Kevin, and Bill will only accept the authentic, original, extra vestigial Godmonster of Indian Flats. Join them for one of the weirdest movies we’ve ever done.

Far less rough then I was expecting. I was expecting Manos level bad and instead got a strange but entertaining (due to that strangeness) western movie only set in Reno in the 70s with a monster in it that wasn't really relevant to the plot (although a lot of the plot jumped around and lost me at times) and an ending that reminded me of a bizarre Blazing Saddles.

Nah...that one was a standard western with a claymation dinosaur thrown on at the end. This one is far stranger and not nearly as well made. I really like that Season 11 episode only because it was one of only 3 or 4 Season 11 episodes that wasn't a standard by the numbers 50s style monster movie, but this one was better and far less predictable.

I'm thinking more Creeping Terror.
This movie is legendary. Haven't seen but certainly looks like the kind a movie that brings the bests out in our riffers.

Watching the preview and seeing the inept monster shamble in the background of a picnic put a big smile on my face.

Is there another definition of "glory hole" than the usual one? I'm not going to google...

Oh, and "Bed, Bath, and Ugly as Sh*t".  :D

If I were to make a sub-title for this movie, it would be, "Randomly Assembled Words by a Justly Underrated Writer."

This was one I had to buy the moment it was released, because it looked like it was going to be one of those 1969-ish Weirdfilmz that I cant get enough of, riffs or no riffs. On that level, I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't psychedelic-weird so much as someone went driving through Virginia City and thought "Gee, this would make a perfect backdrop for a Western movie!" And someone else necessary to the process of making this project a reality wasn't interested in Westerns, so they threw In Baa Baa Schlock Sheep. Great riffing saved it from being a bore. But that's just me.

Oh, hi. I haven't been around for two years. Finally got a laptop that's pleasant enough to do things with. 😀

My favorite part of the movie was the mindless, easily swayed nature of the townsfolk.  Pretty much any stimulus would send them into some wild frenzy of joy or anger.  That one mayor guy shows up?  Insane joy.  A dog gets shot?  Murderous rage.  A glimpse of the godmonster?  Total blood lust.  It's like some non-animated version of the citizens of Springfield.
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.
