John Mahoney, best known as the dad from Frasier, has passed away.

I really liked him in Frasier. He was also really good in a small role in Barton Fink.

I didn't realize he was still alive. He was great on Frasier.

He was totally excellent in Barton Fink. I also enjoyed his stuff in Eight Men Out, Say Anything and Reality Bites, among others. He had a really great character actor face.

Also, he had a small role on The Simpsons a few years back playing Sideshow Bob's dad. After thinking about it, I wish he did more voice work. I mean, he did do some (he was the army general in Iron Giant), but I feel like he could have done a lot more.
