Josh Brolin and Aquaman join the cast. Aquaman will be playing Duncan Idaho

If this is not a disaster, I will be massively surprised.

I have faith in Denis Villeneuve, at least in terms of the quality of the film itself.  Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 were both fantastic sci-fi movies.  That said, I imagine it could end up disappointing audiences expecting a regular science fiction adventure romp and it might show in the box office.  But I'm looking forward to it, at least.

I did like Arrival, although it fell apart at the end once it got pointlessly confusing.

'Dune' Is Now Positioned To Be Next Year's 'Lord Of The Rings,' 'Avatar' Or 'Star Wars' :o

Yeah, but they were saying the same thing about the first DUNE, saying it would be the next Star Wars. So take that with a quadrillion grains of sand.

Finally, someone figured out how to make an ornithopter that's true to the book without looking stupid. If they can do that, maybe they can really pull this off. I have hope.

Jodorwsky wanted Pink Floyd to do the soundtrack to his version of Dune. Pretty sure it's an homage to that connection. That was the choice of the trailer creators btw. You won't find any Pink Floyd in the actual movie.

There was a documentary about that version of the movie btw called Jodorowsky's Dune.

I know this sounds really stupid, but I am boycotting this movie until we get a riff of the original Dune.

I know right?

For example "My name is a killing word" could be the next Golden Chorale's new slogan!
