*sigh* This is really conflicting. I think David Harbour would make a great Hellboy. But I've really wanted to see the current series finished. Ron Pearlman was fantastic. The possible announcement a few months ago was a huge tease/letdown.

Yeah, I'm conflicted too. I do like Neil Marshall. I just hope he uses a lot of practical creatures like DelToro does.

Can we at least get Doug Jones back as Abe Sapien?

Apparently Guillermo and Ron had a Twitter moment where they shared kind words to each other and to fans, so there was that.  Glad that even if they are disappointed, they're not super mad or anything.  It also helps that they have a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp relationship and will work on practically every project together from now until the end of time, so that's good.
One Man Band Riffs.  18 riffs, over 600 served, since 2009.

And as much as I love Ron Perlman, I will admit he is getting a bit old to play the part. Of course it helps that with so much makeup it's easier to use stunt doubles, but still.

Just make a new character already.  Quit rebooting shit!  Whatever happened to the days of endless sequels instead of doing 2 movies and then rebooting?
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.
