The NFL draft is in Philly this weekend, the city started with no parking zones weeks ago, final street closures are starting tonight.

It has become an event that takes weeks to prepare for?

Between that and the Penn Relays this weekend they are expecting 300,000 people to come into the city.

Funny, the very first one was held in Philly in 1936 but it hasn't been back here since 1961.

Oh wow that's pretty cool though it's probably more of a hassle with that many people in town all at once  :-\

I hope I95 doesn't have any issues this weekend, that's all I care about.

It's the same location as the visit by the pope, and I had no problems on I95 that weekend, so fingers crossed.

So the local Buffalo Bills Backers posted the details for the Bills @ Panthers game..
Quote
Sunday September 17th GAME DAY:

10:00am Tailgate will begin with all your Buffalo favorites: Buffalo Chicken Wings, Sahlen's hotdogs, Bison Dip , Buffalo Chicken Wing dip and our Homemade Chili ...
Games, Activities and all 220 ticket holders will be entered to win a Door Prize!

11:45am All A Board one of our four Coach Busses to the game!

After the game enjoy a FREE Beef on Weck sandwich back at Towne Tavern Fort Mill.

You can begin purchasing tickets MONDAY MAY 1st!

Early Bird Special $125.00 per person before June 1st

$150 per person after June 1st

Monday May 1st - Thursday June 1st - Cash or Check in person. Tickets must be paid in full, no holds, first come first serve.
I told my dad about that and he thinks that's steep..
Yes it includes the price of the ticket and the bus ride to and from the game but the last time the Bills came to town, the price was like half that and they were nose-bleed seats..
So it looks like we won't be going and I'll watch the game at my parent's place for free eating wings and drinking beer instead :-\

I guess the Eagles figure there will be good corner backs still around later on, that's what they need most but they get a guy that hopefully will be able to get sacks like he did in college, but that doesn't always happen.  I guess if they figure they can put more pressure on the opposing quarter back they won't need as good a defense downfield?

It's always a gamble with these guys coming out of college.. Wondering who will be the next Peyton Manning or the next Aaron Hernandez..
I heard something about the Falcons draft pick already causing controversy dropping a F-bomb in his tribute to his grandmother last night :D :D
