Is anyone watching it?  Is it any good?  How does it compare to the book?

I don't get the channel, so asking to see if it's worth it to buy it streaming.

Didn't know they were doing this. Miniseries or full on series?

It's a miniseries, 3 nights.   Last part is Wednesday night.

I'm really interested in how they do the ending, guess I'll have to wait until Thursday to read reviews of that to see if they changed it a lot.  I've read about some of the changes to bring it up to date and those seem OK, but none of the reviews go into the parts that haven't aired yet.

Now that they have aired I'm able to read reviews with spoilers, looks like it might not be worth it to buy the mini-series.

Sounds like they introduce a lot of stuff in part 2 and don't follow through, just let stuff drop when new parts of the story come along, trying to do a book that covers a few generations and also update it by injecting new subplots was probably too much to attempt.

I do like that they mostly kept the ending of the book, only making a minor change.

Although having said that I always thought the ending of the book was overkill to add drama that was unnecessary, what happens right up until the end is plenty of drama.
