I made a mistake when installing it though. I accidentally hit express installation and I figured 'what ever' at the time. Now I'm finding out that there is likely a bunch of privacy stuff in the express install I would have liked to disable. Oh well I'll find them all at some point and fix that.
I did the custom install and still had to go and change a ton of privacy settings, and I'm still having to reset file associations even though I told the custom install not to change any... So the express install might change a few more associations and turn on a couple of cortana options you might want off, but custom only gives you a small list of options.
I never had any problems with 7, so I'm seeing little nagging things in 10 that keep me from saying it's better.
It would seem quite a few little things that used to be standard in windows are now going to be subscriptions, you have to pay to get solitaire back to the way it was, and it looks like DVD player will be a subscription as well, it's free for now for most people but probably not for long. Of course VLC is free and better than any of the windows players, but the freecell in win7 was really nice, I haven't found an alternative to that I like.
And I'm still not real happy with the colors, I found a hack to make the title bar match your highlight color so that glaring white bar is now gone, I really don't understand why they took the ability to customize all your colors away, unless that is going to be a subscription thing as well. I've been reading there are some registry hacks to change colors but it sounds like figuring out the hex code of the exact color you want might be a pain. I prefer an off white background for text, the bright white is annoying right now.
I was having random boots with no USB, removed the intel usb 3 stuff for windows 7 and it's been fine since but only a handful of boots since then.
