Cockatoos are very needy.  They are smart but they are probably the most needy of the parrots (imagine a woman who asks you every five seconds if she looks fat and then burst into tears and when you ask why she says, "If you don't know, I'm not going to tell you!").  That's a cocktoo.

24/7 PMS and they require constant boosting of their egos with cuddling and proof that you love them.  I'd never own a cockatoo!

People akin them to be the most snuggly birds and like babies, personally I really do think they're more like a girl with PMS.

Birds aren't without their charm, mostly centering around their beady round eyes and confused little blank stares, but we never seem to get along. I might lack the tenderness and patience to make a creature 1/900th my weight feel comfortable.
