Daredevil, Matrix and other stuff.

Can I say at this point that Rifftrax made it possible that for the first time I actually watched a movie from beginning to end without stopping in between and doing or watching something else.
I never knew before what a horrible mumbler Donald Pleasance was.

Daredevil's gotta be my favorite and Matrix was my first, yeah... Halloween, too.  Good stuff.  So much good work... GOD I loves me some Mike and Kevin and Bill, that's all I gotta say.

My new housemate has a parrot and I go out and feed her and get her to say "hi" and reward her etc.  But she climbs all around cage bars and  slides her beak up and down them in frustration and I know she wants to get out  but I'm not comfortable with taking her out of the cage yet.

However, watching her,  I thought I should teach her "Attica! Attica!"

I know it's a joke they use in MST3K and probably in other Rifftrax but I thought of the kids in the playground  in Daredevil and the idea of getting the bird to learn that keeps making me chuckle.

 ;D

First, a parrot that shouts "Attica!  Attica!" would be awesome.  Especially if it overturned things in its cage while shouting it.

I had a friend whose parents had an African gray parrot and it was astounding what that bird would pick up.  Most memorably for me is that it would imitate their dogs so that when someone entered their house it would growl at that person.  So one time I made the mistake of growling back.  The parrot started barking and running around the cage like crazy.  It was the last thing I was expecting...

Yeah I totally want to get her to flap her wings at the same time. My housemate said that she knew a bird who would totally catch on to that really fast...but her bird is still being trained...And I have to learn how to teach her. She got the "a" part but that's probably because she learned "Afflack" like that duck in the insurance commercial. When she first said "Afflack" I thought she had said "Affleck" which made me start laughing, and I kept on saying that she doesn't want to say that too much, because we only need a fleck of it.
Ah Devildog, how entertaining you've become.

I have three birds, and I can tell you that they're just smart enough to think of new and imaginative ways to be stupid.

Don't forget that they shit everywhere and leave their dander and discarded feathers all over the place. My mother inherited them from me so they're really hers now. They're so terrified of me now that they get all quiet and timid when I walk in the room.

When I was a zookeeper, parrots were part of my job.  I love the big, messy morons.  They act like two year old kids.  They really do.  They're not as bad as all that...ok, two year olds are pretty bad but they can be sweet and intelligent too but generally they use it for evil.

One of them would rake his beak across the bars of his cage when I'd put him up for the day and scream "HELP ME!"
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Where did those parrots come from?
Not in general, just in this thread...or did someone mix it up with the MST3K refference thread?
