The Muppets are back on ABC

The Muppets are back on ABC
Quote from: Gary Levin
The furry Muppets are back on ABC in one of three new comedies the network ordered for next season late Thursday.

The network describes the new series as a "documentary-style" look that "explore(s) the Muppets' personal lives and relationships, bot at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires." That's a tall order for a bunch of felt creatures, but it's in good hands: Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) is a co-writer and executive producer.

I'm a bit weary because of this:

People keep focusing on that, but he wrote for the muppets long before that.

Did he write for them when they were good, or during their "This isn't the Muppets that I remember" post-Henson phase?

I think the show will do and be great... I'm more worried about the idiotic "celebrities" they're bound to get on as guests.  They need more NPH's and far less Kardashian/Mileys.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

I wish they wouldn't do celebrity guests at all. The muppets are entertaining enough themselves,  and the reason we tune in to watch the show.

Guests made for the best material.

Jim was still alive, he wrote on fragile rock, the jim Henson hour and other stuff.

Also has a Parks and Rec director directing too.

It's hard to be snooty about celebrities when you look at some of the people on the original show, also how are you comparing Miley to one of the Kardashians?

Yeah, I liked the trailer. Although I agree with Gonzo the format seems gimmicky. But as long as it's funny, I'm there.

If it's the Muppets in their daily lives,  I would think they'd have different clothes sometimes.

I hope 80s Robot will be in it. I know it's kind of a one note joke, but I laugh every time at him in the 2011 film.
