Yeah, the protagonist is a tough guy who works in a bar in a small town, but that's where the similarities end. He's not a bouncer, and he didn't come there to do that. The bar and bartending are incidental to the story. It was just a job that happened to be available when he got to town, which coincidentally put him in regular contact with the girls.
I learned that when your hero goes through the "arming to the teeth for the final battle" scene, he should then make that irrelevant by walking into the final battle with two grenades in hand. Seriously, that's what he's supposed to do
after his well-planned strategy goes wrong or he runs out of ammo; it shouldn't be his opening move.
