"By this time my lungs were aching for air" I believe is a reference to the old TV show Seahunt starring Lloyd Bridges. As a scuba diver, he seemed to frequently get separated from his oxygen for some reason. I know they used it a lot during Rocketship XM (since it had Bridges in it) but I've seen i in some other episodes too, season one mainly.

And yeah, that fat sherrif in laserblast did look like Hank Jr lol

Ok, I got one that I never quite understood from Werewolf...

When Yuri, he of many wigs, leaves the party drunk... Crow drops the "I'm walking to Kirk Douglas's house!"

What is the connection between drunk Yuri and Kirk Douglas? or what I am missing?

I took it as a comment on how Yuri said the line. It sounded a lot like Kirk Douglas's acting with the gritted teeth and harsh tone.

FYI, that line is my exit windows sound. Makes me laugh every time.

I LOVE that Kirk Douglas riff.   Naturally, I have a lot of people at work saying that at random times throughout the day.

Co-Worker #1:  Is that ticket finished and ready for tomorrow's meeting?
Co-Worker #2: Yeah, I'll have it ready OVER AT KIRK DOUGLAS'S HOUSE

IIRC, "start seeing motorcycles" was a safety campaign to make drivers more aware of motorcyclists due to their small size, risky driving, and high likelihood of a spinal cord injury in the case of crash.

It's a reference to his movie I Walk Alone. It involves walking, bootlegging, and a character named Noll.

I never understood, in Eegah, the "And as we left the clam flowage desert, we knew hat we would return... hunting for the mighty... Jacks."

If Fred got Gazoo to say his name backward, would it send him back to the 5th dimension?

From the Wiki:
"He is a tiny, green, floating alien, voiced by Harvey Korman, having been exiled to Earth from his home planet Zetox as punishment for having invented a weapon of immense destructive power, and was discovered by Fred and Barney when his flying saucer crashed. His invention was a button which would destroy the universe if pressed, though he insists he made it on a whim with no intent of using it."
