Here's one that always bugged me: On MST3K: The movie, Tom Servo does this when Cal is looking in the empty plane: *tentatively* "Hallo? He-Hello? Helloooo?" but its repeated on several episodes. Each time they do it they use the same hushed, quiet voice which makes me think they're referencing something else. Can anyone help me? Hello?

Is that from Lou Costello in "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein"?

Dog Day Afternoon

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Attica riffs have never been funny.

its weird ive always known that the attica reference was a prison reference in movies, but never the movie itself thanks man.

I disagree.  I didn't like them at first, partially because I hadn't seen Dog Day Afternoon,  but I think that they got funnier thru repetition.

"Dog Day Afternoon" is a classic Al Paccino movie.  What can I say...

Haven't seen the episode, but I'm willing to bet the fat sheriff bears a resemblance to Bocephus, aka Hank Williams, Jr.  He sang the "Are You Ready For Some Football?" theme that opened Monday Night Football for many a moon.

"ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!" was the very creative catchphrase from ABC's Monday Night Football.

Also, any "All my rowdy friends are coming over..." riffs also come from MNF's opening theme song performed by country singer Hank Williams, Jr, AKA Bocephus:

Ok, I got one that I never quite understood from Werewolf...

When Yuri, he of many wigs, leaves the party drunk... Crow drops the "I'm walking to Kirk Douglas's house!"

What is the connection between drunk Yuri and Kirk Douglas? or what I am missing?
