I was always partial to the Tom Servo "SLEEEEEEEEEP" whenever a movie had a hypnotist.   That never fails to crack me up...... in fact we do that at work a lot.

Where did, "I can't control it! I don't know how it works!" come from?

Kills me every time. Is that referring to any specific movie, etc?

I THINK that is just the generic hypnotist comment.   Man, is that funny.

Co-Worker:   Say, did you get that functional design done, it was due this morning.
Me:   Well, you see there are many things to consider SLEEEEEEEEP.

Mine has to be the running gag from Space Mutiny with all the manly nicknames for Rider, Big Mclargehuge, Bulk Vanderhuge(My former screenname), and so on.  Was this ever repeated in any other episode?

Yeah, the first time I ever saw it was "12 to the Moon", it was a Mike ep from... season 5 I think...  am I right about that?  Anybody back me up, or correct me?

Where did, "I can't control it! I don't know how it works!" come from?

I'm 99.9% sure it's from The Wizard of Oz, when the Wizard accidentally takes off in his balloon.

Some people have mentioned some emphatic, one-word running riffs, which reminded me of another one: "STAAAAY!" I'm dying to see the The Undead episode, just so I can see where it started.
That shocks my full military wear!

Yup, 12 To The Moon was the first time they did the "Rock Chestslab" type nicknames.

I notice they make a lot of negative references to NorthWest Airlines, Green Bay Packers, cheese, and various other Wisconsinian things.

I think one I find amusing that they use quite a lot:

"Can't you see what I'm trying to tell you? I love you!"
"And when I get angry, things begin to happen!"

That's because most of them lived around Chicago at one point or another and as everyone knows, everyone who has ever lived near chicago must utter 3 anti Wisconsin statements per month or you are kicked out. Same goes for Southern Illinoisans and St Louis references.

^^^ Sure it doesn't have more to do with the Minnesota / Wisconsin rivalry?    ;)

I also notice a fair amount of riffing on Southerners ... aww well its just what we northerners do, no harm, right?
