I had a bunch of old Carl Barks comics growing up that my grandmother found for me at a garage sale that I WISH I'D KEPT, so the art style reminds me of that and actually makes me MORE nostalgic.

Fantagraphics have been collecting Carl Barks and Don Rosa comics for the last few years - the books are so beautiful.

There's only two episodes of this first season I haven't seen yet: "The house of the lucky gander" and "The Living Mummies of Toth-ra!". I really should check those out some time. I think this new series has writing that's easily on par if not sometimes better than the original series. Anyway, I just bought the two aforementioned episodes on Google Play so I might let you know my opinion on them later.

Both are really good episodes.  Casting Paul F. Tompkins as Gladstone Gander is the best choice.

Yes they were. I'm very happy with this first season. I just hope they can keep up the quality as the series continues.

Is it too much to hope for a regular release schedule?  At least Cartoon Network has "bombs".

Looks like you'll be getting that in May through Summer.

Looks like the latest episode will have a Gummi Bears reference.

I was in Target within the past week and I saw a DVD with new Duck Tales Artwork on it and I was all like Sweet! They released Season 1 on DVD! My smile turned to a frown when I turned it around and observed on the back that all it was was a few episodes from the new show and a few "First time on DVD" episodes from classic Duck tales. Sigh.

Yeah, I've seen that too. I'd like to see the whole new season, but I don't get the channel it's on. I really liked the first episode they had on Youtube ("Yes, sir, kid I just met!"). At this point I'm probably best getting it on Amazon Instant.

It made the jump to regular Disney channel back in May so you might want to try again.
