If it helps, Flightplan was a HUGE ripoff of the Lady Vanishes, so Hitchcock's grave rotation won't be anything new.

The house arrest thing is a really dumb way to update a broken leg, too. Basically, they're have to make the police response time wildly unrealistic to keep him in the house when danger's occurring yet stop him from summoning them for help.

And since everyone on earth has a mobile phone, the director has to go to great length to explain why the phone does not work, is out of battery, is out of cell tower range, etc.

I am thinking about getting the Riff trax for this movie (just to get all three of guys)...does it make it watchable or would I better off with something else?

The Colbert Report played a clip from Battlefield Earth a couple of nights ago while talking about John Travolta. The entire audience was rolling with laughter. ;D "While you were still learning how to SPELL YOUR NAME!"
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Sometime after the end of MST3K's run and before rifftrax, some friends, most of whom were hard core MYSTiers got together to watch bad movies and make fun of them.  It was called Stixelplex, and it featured bad seating, even worse junkfood (oh the night of the Totinos party pizzas!) and movies like Blackula and Battlefield Earth.  i was thrilled when I saw that there was MST reunion of sorts over the body of Battlefield Earth and it was good.

I also thank Battlefield Earth for providing me with my single greatest riffing moment.  At the end of five minutes of "gratiuitous slow motion glass breaking" I quipped, "oh man, is he gonna get a big box of steaks."

we.get.it.
This is how I feel about Kevin Murphy's commentary sometimes. Don't get me wrong, sometimes he hits a homerun but there are some occasions that where I wanna say, "please stop".

I just got finished watching Battlefield Earth and this was (in my opinion) Murphy at his most annoying. His constant farting and belching noises when they'd show that fat, turkey-necked guy, not once but a few times is only one example. Another example is the Ed McMahon reference...which was reasonably clever when brought up by Mike and Bill. But Murphy goes on some long-winded rant to embellish the point already made by the other two guys. Still, he had a couple of good ones. And thank goodness for Mike and Bill (I don't think I'll be getting any rifftrax with Mike and Kevin sans Bill...that's for sure).

An overall good experience...definitely glad to see these guys back riffing on bad movies. I'm still thinking about their amazing riffs of 300!

That depends on the individual's sense of humor. Personally, I can listen to fart and belch sounds all day long, when superimposed over a fat, turkey-necked guy. Case in point: the first time I saw that scene in Overdrawn At The Memory Bank, I almost cracked several ribs from laughing so hard!

But yeah, Kevin has kinda gone overboard with the anger in a few Rifftrax.

Yet, that doesn't mean I want him to change.  ;)

Understand...and he's not without some real winners.
