Really good riff. More Chad would've been nice, though.

I laughed when Chad said "Her full name was Shmi shma shmuppy"

It was just so out of the blue

That continuous running gag is Mike and Kevin's gift to you, the fans :)

I don't know if "thank you" should really be used in reference to anyone spreading Schnappi around.  I like that Chad was the one that said it this time though.  I could have used a little more Chad Vader lines but I only notcied he hadn't said anything in a while maybe 2 times during the movie and maybe a minute or 2 would go by before he had another line.  I think given the ridiculous nature of the movie I don't think the Vader breathing noises would really bother me that much.  Christianson had that department covered.

I have a new favorite RiffTrax.  And it is Episode II.  But I am torn, because this movie is quite unbearable to sit through.  It's so long...but I laughed so hard...I especially liked the "We could wear mustaches" riff.

I think I'll just echo what other people have said here: I really didn't remember how dull Episode 2 was.  I think perhaps the "all action" last 20 minutes might've obscured my memory of the previous two hours when I first watched it, but Good Lord! did it drag in places.  Only Kevin, Mike, and Chad made it bearable.  It's kind of a shame that Chad only had a minimal amount of imput in this trax, as I thought that the opportunity for something a little different (just as it shows hysterically in the Chad Vader video when talks about his dying mother on screen) was there but never fully utilized.  I think the riff that made me laugh the loudest was Mike's "Oh yeah baby, you like that, don't you?" when R2 was 'interacting' with the navigational computer.

Chad Vader is hot, ya'll.  He can scan my apples anytime.

I think he was used sparingly in this because it was such a departure from what Rifftrax has done before, and the guys wanted to tread lightly, especially given the Great DisembAudio Fifth Element Uprising of 2006.  I appreciated that they erred on the side of caution.  So if the biggest complaint is that there wasn't enough of Chad, I'd say they did an excellent job.   I hope he returns for Ep III, or maybe the entire original trilogy.

A little too much making up stupid names, not enough angry lashing out.

Huh, most people thought that the "angry lashing out" on the Episode 1 riff was a bit too much.

Proof that you can't please everybody all the time, I guess.
"Most" people are wrong; these movies deserve all the angry lashing out they get. I find it funny the fanboys who have grudgingly admited the movies weren't that great, but aren't willing to treat them like the over-hyped crap they were. The Episode I riff was very therapeutic for me, and the second one was almost as good, but I think it maybe let the movie off a little too easily.

I eagerly await the third episode riff. I'm looking forward to seeing their take on the Vader coaster moment: http://vadercoaster.ytmnd.com/.

Well, clearly the anger was warrented, but I was of the opinion that the anger got in the way of the funny.  Be pissed, sure, but be pissed hilariously.  I thought it was much more well-balanced for this riff.

Agreed. I was thankful not to sit through another two hours of Mike and Kevin bitching and whining. I got enough of that watching the movie without the RiffTrax.

I found it to be a great riff and immediately shoots up to the medal stand with Episode I & Firewall IMO.

The best moment was Mike's riff about all the fanboys checking their watch and muttering "It's all happening again!". When I watched the movie in the theater, at that very moment I stepped out and went to use the bathroom. And I NEVER step out of a movie, no matter what my bladder feels like. And while in the bathroom I muttered "Dear God, this is just as bad as Episode I!". Fortunately the last 40 minutes was able to lift the film up to a mediocre ** IMO.

Well, I finally finished watching this.  I am one of the ones who didn't care for the Episode 1 riff but I gotta say this one was hilarious. Well done all around. I laughed almost the whole way through.  Chad had some good lines but I'm glad they treaded lightly.  It could have been bad if overdone.

As for the movie, I could have sworn I saw this when it first came out, but honest to goodness, I didn't remember a thing about it.  The whole "I love the water" scene.  I don't remember that.  The big clone fight? Where was I during that?  I remember the Yoda fight and I remember Jar-Jar in the senate...but I didn't even get that "vaguely familiar scene" from ANYTHING else in the film except the general plot (or lack thereof actually).

Could this be the movie amnesia I've referred to here before? I normally at least get an "Oh yeah, I do remember this scene" when I get that.  Could I have fallen asleep (which would be impossible with all the edge of your chair action in this film)?  Could my brain have seen Jar-Jar and immediately shut off?  I don't understand.  Very bizarre but at least now I know why I hated it so much.  I used to give a general, "They were awful!" answer when asked why but now I have some facts to back it up.
