A Very Special Rifftrax Celebrity Sighting

I went to a wedding last night. I got there relatively early and saw a guy who reminded me of someone. He was immaculately suited and looked exactly like one of our favorite people on the planet.

It was actually him. I just found out a few minutes ago. Blew my goddamned mind.

Yeah. I mean, Anna Kendrick was in those movies, so it's not like they are a great barometer for how talented someone is. If I was a working actor I'd have been psyched out of my mind to get that roll.

But even though I didn't think it was actually him while at the wedding I kept trying not to laugh because I kept internally shouting "I'm Harpo!"

That's Jasper "Harpo" Hale, a vampire from the twilight films. He's actually one of the characters in the novels who might in fact be interesting in a different book. He's an ex-confederate soldier who, along with other vampires, basically conquered a chunk of Texas to use the folks there as breeding stock. It ended badly. He is, of course, mostly ignored by Meyer to instead follow Bella around.


The actor is Monroe Jackson Rathbone V, who was also in The Last Airbender and has recently been in a web series called Aim High, about a teenaged spy. He also has a son, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.
