    • Yep, I have a deviantART gallery. But it's pretty cheerful drawings-- no angsty poems or black-and-white photos of wooden chairs.

I never got into Fire Emblem, but I always loved Shining Force, which is quite similar. Never got into Final Fantasy Tactics either, now that I think of it. Those rabbit-eared abominations are NOT MOOGLES, dammit! ^_^

It occurs to me my user avatar indicates a bias there.

Just started RE7. I never liked the RE series, but this game seems to have taken things in a direction I do like. The game this most reminds me of is Alien: Isolation, which was great. This is just a lot more disgusting.

This game is phenomenal. It is absolutely gorgeous, and one of the best, if not THE best Metroidvania games I've played since Symphony of the Night, which it bears a lot of similarity to. It also has some definite Dark Souls influences, though it's not nearly as brutal. If you die, you lose all your money, but if you can make it back to where you died, and defeat your "ghost" you can get it all back. The plot is very sparse, and you're expected to put together what's going on yourself, a la DS. And there are LOTS of boss fights. Even the title "Hollow Knight" suggests a DS connection

Highly recommended, especially considering it's only $15.

I agree. I'm about four hours is and loving it. It does start to get very difficult later on.

I'm about 7 hours in now. It's still great, but one issue I didn't notice before, but I do now, and many other people have pointed out, is that it has some stuttering issues. This wasn't a problem until I got to one of the parts where you have to
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I got killed twice in a row because the stutter caused one of my swings to miss  :o

Good to know that wasn't just my computer. Maybe it'll get fixed. Great game though.

So I've decided that Breath of the Wild is like Zelda meets The Witness. It has the "Secrets everywhere!" element of the Zelda series combined with the Witness' "We're not gonna tell you how to do things, but we'll encourage the discovery" philosophy. It's an incredible experience.

Must say I'm a little jealous.  Not quite jealous enough to buy the system for one game though.  Same thing happened with the WiiU.  There were like two games that interested me.  Oh well.

Now that playstation 4 games will be streaming on the PC, I wonder if I'll get to play FFXV in a timely fashion.  Probably not, but I can still hope.

Me and a friend have been playing the co-op version of Risk of Reign on Steam, a great platformer with rogue-like elements.  We've beat the game 3 times on easy and have unlocked a lot of characters but the game is still very fun and VERY hard.

Also played a very fun quicky game called Paparazzi.  It doesn't have the most replay value but it is a fun silly game to kill about a half hour.

Played Ultimate Chicken Horse with friends on the weekend.  A great, friendship ruining game, highly recommended.

I was a big fan of Risk of Rain. Never did try playing it co-op though. I had almost everything unlocked, and then one day for no apparent reason, all my unlocks got reset. Fortunately it's relatively easy to hack the save file. The only characters I could ever finish the game with on "rainstorm" difficulty were the Engineer (who is by FAR the best character IMHO) and Acrid.

Nier Automata.  It's pretty cool, but god dammit is the begining frustrating.  I'm trying to play the whole thing on Hard, because I hear it gets way too easy later on if you play on Normal.  But there's a lot of stuff out there that can one shot kill you on Hard.  Which would normally be fine, except you can't save until after the prologue.  Or at least I think that's how it works, because I haven't been able to save yet.  Been playing the prologue at least 12 times.  Feels like I'm getting close, but fuck.  It's not a short prologue either.

Yeah you can change the difficulty whenever you want.  But I guess I still have too much pride.

I think after 12 tries you're entitled to change the difficulty, at least temporarily. Yeah, I watched someone play the prologue and he died during the last bit and was like "What?? I have to do all of that over again!?" I really want to play this game, but I just can't afford it at the moment. Soon, I hope.

I'm about 30 hours into Hollow Knight. I've gotta be near the end (I hope). I've tried my best to avoid spoilers, but that also means I've spent a considerable amount of time just trying to figure out where the hell I'm supposed to go next. I JUST got Tear that lets you swim through acid. I must have walked right past the entrance to that glade at least 10 hours ago  :grr:

I also just picked up Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City. Unfortunately, I'm on NG+, and apparently I have to actually get back to the end again to get into it. Not looking forward to doing that.

I tried maybe 5 more times and said hell with it.  Went to Normal for the prolouge, then back up to Hard immediately after.  Having fun now that that's over.

I put 25 hours into Hollow Knight and got 85% complete.  I was surprised that I didn't get stuck that often.  There were always enough new places to go that opened up even more new places and so on.  I just kept looking at the map for open holes.

I'm waiting for a sale or a bundle to buy all the Dark Souls III DLC at once.
