One of the best host segments ever. Largely because of Mike's performance as he's screaming.

I was on the floor, crying with laughter, when I saw that host segment for the first time. Absolutely hilarious!  Tom was as funny as Mike, trying to calm Mike: Listen to the sound of my voice! It's CROW, it's CROW!  This is CROW!

I absolutely love this story. The conversational framing device was clever, and the story blended suspense and humor. What really fascinates me is the level of cognative dissonance this man has going, that he's afraid to admit it's real but he also has lived with this entity long enough to know it's moods and habits.

Any idea if this story influenced the film at all?

when I think of the screaming skull I think of that Goosebumps(Or was it are you afraid of the dark?) where a guy turns into a Skeleton and shouts "What's the matter, doncha wanna have some fun?!"

Isn't this movie just a remake of Gaslight from 1944?
