Article about the essence of the Swayze
« on: March 26, 2007, 10:09:57 PM »
I don't know if I'm the only one who reads the Onion AV Club (it's great) but their feature article today was all about Swayze, incorporating his characters from Point Break, Roadhouse, and Red Dawn, among others: http://www.avclub.com/content/feature/the_way_of_the_swayze_how_to_be

Good stuff. I'd forgotten Swayze was in Donnie Darko.

I love The Onion, and its AV Club, in fact, The Onion kept me company on my interminable train ride home early Sunday morning. They'd be the perfect venue for an in-depth interview with Mike. Or at the very least, a Justify Your Existence spot. Let's start that email campaign!

This is old but worth reading: http://www.avclub.com/content/node/23341

But yeah, seems like they'd be a good venue for another one, we'd get to avoid all the jackass questions that normally pop up from people who aren't very good interviewers.

Also, there's a fantastic Tuesday/Thursday feature on there analyzing flop movies- it runs in the blog in the lower left (below the Hater, which is also great) but it's really pretty much the best thing on the site at the moment. That and Commentary Tracks of the Damned.

it can be summed up thus:

Patrick's like the wind through my tree
He rides the night next to me
He leads me through moonlight
Only to burn me with the sun
He's taken my heart
But he doesn't know what he's done

Feel his breath on my face
His body close to me
Can't look in his eyes
He's out of my league
Just a fool to believe
I have anything he needs
He's like the wind
