Poll: Emulation Vs. Virtual Console/X-box Arcade

I'm interested to find out just why so many people are in love with the new virtual console/ X-box arcade when the idea of classic games has already existed for several generations now. I myself do not yet own a next gen system, but I have little trouble setting up a emulated game (OF MY CHOICE) on a Dreamcast or X-box. Is there a reason why gamers speak so highly of these new next gen services or is it just hype to spark interest in the new systems? Or maybe its even some other reason that isn't so obvious/  :-

The best emulators are on the PC.  I mean, they cover everything! MAME is just awesome, and I think important to the archiving of the rapidly diminishing arcade scene.

Hard to say for me.  I love the updated look on most of the X Box Live games, but I'm a old school Nintendo fanboy.

There's something in me that can't enjoy a game if it's being emulated unofficially. I don't know WHY I can play Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV for hours on my Wii but never touch it on my PC, but there it is.

I like buying games from Xbox marketplace and Virtual Console. But I've got my fair share of emulators and roms too.

I play all my ROMs on my Treo 650, I've got emulators for Nintendo, Turbo Grafix 16, Sega Master System and Game Gear, and Gameboy/Gameboy Color. Which, as you can guess, means that my productivity at work is severely lacking.

I'd vote for the XBLA, but the Wii's totally got the ace in the hole as far as games I want to play are concerned.  And this is coming from someone who's bought 18 XBLA games.

Better selection with PC emulators, but my vote goes to the Wii.  I just enjoy the classic NES shape of the wiimote, plus playing on a big screen tv with the 8bit "thbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb" sound of Excitebike blasting through my surround sound.

I really hope they put out the 2 GI Joe games on VC.  Those games rocked.
