When I used to shave I always did it before showering, so kind of pointless to use aftershave.

I'm now not ashamed to admit which aftershave I use (when I use aftershave.)

Thank you, Bruce Campbell.

Old Spice.  Darth Geek posted the video on page one of this thread.

I have an unashamed man-crush on Bruce.  He's got "it", I guess.

So what exactly is aftershave? Why do you need it? I have no facial hair and no boyfriend with facial hair, so I know nothing about this.

It's like cologne, but it serves the dual purpose of soothing your irritated nerve-endings after you've run an electric razor all over your face. There's a sort of stinging itchy feeling you get if you don't use it.

Ah I see. Is there scentless aftershave? What if you preferred your own musk. Do you need aftershave with electric razors too?

I am just looking for an aftershave lotion like thing, that has a bit of smell, but not NJ Mafia smell.  And I used a blade on my sides and an electric razor to keep the goatee short.

It's something douchebags wear to let other people know they're coming.
For those with no sense of smell a rhythmic "uh uh uh" noise was the only other sign.

That's cologne.  Aftershave is usually not as strongly scented and actually serves a purpose, when used correctly.

I get razor burn easily, and a small amount of aftershave allows me to not have a red and inflamed looking face all day.
