Sometimes it's been portrayed as green, but not always. A 2005-era Dalek opened up looks kinda like this model, which makes one wonder how Ian was able to fit inside in the first movie (and in the original episode too). Guess their shells were more cavernous and roomy in the 60s.

This is the only exposure I've ever had with Dr. Who, and I gotta say, I'm totally cool with that.

If there is nothing about Dr Who that appeals to you, that's okay, but really don't judge the whole thing on these movies.  They really are not good representations of what Dr Who can be.

Well, it's really more of a comment on the riffs than anything. I get what you're saying, totally, no question about it. But if I die tomorrow, go onto whatever life, existence or lack thereof that comes after this, and I am cut off from knowing anything else about the Doctor Who franchise other than what was in these movies and the jokes MKB made about them, then I will be satisfied.

Now I get the poop jokes.

And there was a time when I watched the Tom Baker episodes. I had a crush on Sarah.

Is the BEST robot model they could design?

Ugh.

Wouldn't be the worst. Imagine if the Daleks had gone with this design.

But keeping the same voice and fire extinguisher weapons.

Or if they were stuck like this...

I'd exterminate you, but what's the point?  Look at me, brain the size of a planet and they want me to exterminate the Doctor.  If he were a real doctor he should do something about the pain in all the diodes down my left side, not that I'd bother to ask OH GOD I'm so depressed.

Life...don't talk to me about life.

My brother and I had these robots as kids. They are more intimidating than the Daleks in these movies.

Also, Shopper is BUY TOBOR spelled backwards.

Really, that Nintendo robot is more intimidating than these Daleks.

Back to what we learned:

I learned that Dr. Who is not opposed to going back in time enough to allow a cop to arrest jewelery store robbers but IS opposed to going back a bit further to prevent an explosion and the initial robbery.

I learned that a group of ballroom dancers could have spun them all down rails and killed all the Daleks.

We need more dancers!

I think the Daleks look badass but I suppose it's different when you don't grow up watching them.

I learned Bill can't tell the difference between "Clear, eh?" and "Clearly"

I leaned that the line "sniping at homos" will make me do a spit take and spray juice all over myself.

I learned Arthur Jackson references are awesome.

I also learned if I'd seen this movie as a kid I probably would have loved it.

I learned that a Dalek is impervious to grenades, but can be subdued by lightly draping a tarp over its head.

Daleks are obviously part parakeet.

I learned that rifftrax must be having trouble with piracy.

I noticed that bit too. I wonder if it's just a problem they had with the previous Dr. Who riff when it came to "Whovians" (or whatever they're called) or with just their VODs in general?

Interesting question.

I was at a dinner party recently and rifftrax got brought up. Some guy said something like why bother to buy them when you could download from the internet. It was a very quite dinner party and my hosts were most gracious people, so I kept my mouth shut.

But I'm thinking of hunting him down and.....EXTERMINATE!

I'll admit, I used to pirate Rifftrax, years ago. But I'm pretty sure I've bought everything since Clash of the Titans. And I know I've bought all the VoDs, even the old ones. Voodoo Man is still one of my favorites.
