This is an interesting situation where I understood the joke because the joke was self explanatory, but I did not previously know what pre-Columbian referred to, and therefore didn’t find it that funny, even though I appreciated the format. So even explaining a joke to yourself seems to ruin it.

How do we all feel about Hustler Humor? I downloaded every issue of Hustler magazine and saved all the cartoons. More than 7000. Good stuff but...just a tad...racy.

Hustler has some excellent and very funny cartoons, but yeah generally speaking they're almost always racy in one way or another. If i were you i'd consult the forum rules again and/or ask a Mod about it.
