Sea Monsters
« on: July 08, 2013, 10:11:59 PM »
Ahoy me hearties! I'm lookin' fer some literature about terrifyin' beasts of the deep, preferably something available in audiobook. I'm not inta shark books, and most searches turn up a lot of kids stuff. What I really want is a grown-up (or at least YA) horror novel about some ungodly abomination that clacks its claws or waves its tentacles in the briny depths.

I've tried The Terror, but found it disappointing. Already read Ten Thousand Leagues. Meiville's "Kraken" proved to be focused on a dead giant squid and did not end up on sea voyages. I'm enjoying Below, but I'd like somethin' a bit more imaginative or fantastic, something with a sea devil more monstrous than anything in real life.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.
