Yeah, I think it's mostly because the general public isn't familiar with that type of plane, and how it differs from the typical residential flight like we take.

Yeah, they could've put something in there making it clearer on what was happening like a hum and the sight of the elevator car rising behind the doors and THEN the zombie breaking out the doors.  The way it is she presses the button and the zombie pops right out the doors.

Zombie vending machine....that would have been injected some humor into a movie that really needed it. Not that it was ovelry serious either, but it lacked horror and I thought the action lacked tension, so humor might have been it's saving grace. Which is why it begs for a Rifftax release.

I think the "fast zombie" trend has reached its creative endgame with WORLD WAR Z. I mean, what can they do next? Make the zombies move so quickly they break the sound barrier?

Make them climb on ceilings? Nah, that'd be stupid...

What can they do next? Make a movie that isn't totally terrible like WORLD WAR Z.

They were the traditional Romero-style walkers, like in his Zombie Survival Guide. The nature of how they move and act is actually a rather big part of the universe he's crafted, actually (ditto the rate at which the disease spread).
