I learned that if I would be living in the same house as a huge serial killer, I should protect myself with the TINIEST gun in the planet.  What was that thing, a .22?  It looks like it could not hurt a hamster.  But the kitchen knife can be much better as it kills people right and left.  Well, except Norman.  It just puts temp dents in him.

I learned that among Norman's many heinous crimes is his complete inability to make a half-decent sandwich...or do a good re-painting job. But he can play the Moonlight Sonata and slice lettuce like nobody else's business. Good to know!

Oh, and I learned that running a dirty, run-down old flophouse of a motel with a shady past, and a history of slow business since they moved the main highway is definitely more profitable than working in a frequently populated local diner. Again, good to know.

I learned that trying to gaslight a mentally ill man into committing a murder isn't illegal.

I learned Norman likes to wear the upper lapel of his sports jacket turned up 'cause that looks cool and stylin' was part of his rehabilitation.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Actually I'm reasonably sure he was buff and stylin' because he and Tab Hunter had an IRL thing going on since the preview of the first Psycho movie.

I, myself, learned that people will line up to pretend to be your mother, but only if you kill your aunt/mother first.

That, and my wall-anus is totally misplaced. I am so embarrassed.

I learned that today,  Mothers Day,  is the day of the year I'll watch this movie again for the same reason I watch ID4 on Fourth of July.

Shook up the lights behind him pretty good even though he never touched them.

I learned the following: 1 Norman is the platonic ideal of a sonic the hedge hog fan fict author (classic philosophy ripping joke albeit not nearly as good as the Diogenes one Mike did for Cloverfield) 2. Being a psycho doesn't excuse you from adhering to good work etiquette in being able to finish a paint job without continuity errors 3. When spending the night with your favorite psychopath be sure to intrust your safety to a gun that's from Ted Nugents toy gun line for kids 4. Normans mother's clothes were the ultimate community theater attire for the community

In short Norman is a stickler for maintaining long distance calls with whose ever mother is handy and for upholding the honor of the toasted cheese sandwich!

Trying to avoid a spoiler ... did ANYONE consider the heavy lifting involved???? I learned that a cigarette-filter Dennis Franz and can be easily moved from an interior floor to the trunk of a late seventies car. Why, let's just add in a horny high-school boy from a garden level fruit cellar! Haul him up and toss him in! Then tow the entire affair to the swamp! Hey, lets bury Lidia Lunch under a couple hundred pounds of furnace coal while we're at it! I think it took a little more than a hand truck and several bungees to get this project done.

I swear, I just heard the twinkle of little pixie wings! "You wish to load a dead, bloaty drunk into a Buick? Just click your heels and wiggle your nose, and so you shall!!" *ting!*
