I like Bibi. I never thought God would annoy the living shit out of me, though. That was a new one on me. Then again, I never thought God was the demon spawn of The KFC Colonel and the Quaker Oats Quaker, glued together with pure self-righteousness, before, either. Also, I'm pretty sure God would have a chauffeur of some sort.

I've  always assumed rabbis had a contentious relationship with God.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Bibi was hilariously easy to corrupt.  She was clearly looking for ANY excuse to get away from the bland Alphie.

Why are their names Bibi and Alphie? They should have just gone all of the way with whatever allegory they were going for and named them Eve and Adam.  And Bibi, well, at least she was easy on the eyes.

She was cute, but not gorgeous or anything.

I'm still amazed that the girl who played Mimi made a TON of other movies and none of the other younger folks did ANYTHING again.  Like they really did walk after the car in the sky.

We'll. I'd argue more than "cute" but probably not "gorgeous", sure.

My point is, certainly not someone that you'd take one look at and think "she must become a superstar!"

Especially after a performance Donnie and Marie would look at and go, "Really, that's what you're going with?!"

Yeah, their love song reminded me a lot of Loving Lovers Love.

That's why she needed to sell her soul.  Enter Mr. Boogalow.

She did sell out rather quickly, didn't she?   And she decided to ignore the warnings from her boyfriend......"meh, I can ditch the loser"

Catherine Mary Stewart (Bibi) made a pretty good film a few years later, Night of the Comet.  Then she was the female love interest in Weekend at Bernie's.

Sort of an up and down decade for the lady.

There are no heros in this movie.
