RIP Annette Funicello

I guess this could go in movies or TV, but she started on TV.

I'll remember her for the "beach party" movies.

I only really know her because I have a friend who was named after her but RIP all the same.

My response is a mixture of "Noo!" and "She was still alive?"

I always dug Annette. One of the original Mousekateers, from the days when that didn't mean you were destined to live your 20s and 30s in Rehab. I always liked her in the old Disney movies.

I vaguely remember the announcement that she had MS, but that was something like 20 years ago.

Just reading up on her and it had progressed about as badly as that disease can go.  The last several years she couldn't move or speak.

So sad, I loved those cheesy beach movies.
