RIP Don Payne, Simpsons/Thor writer
« on: March 27, 2013, 04:47:33 PM »
Don Payne, a writer for the Simpsons in recent years, as well as both Thor movies died recently of cancer.  Aside from Thor, which was riffed and which I rather enjoyed, he was also the writer for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Mostly, I'll remember him as a Simpsons writer.  Though he wasn't their best writer, he wrote some recent episodes I really enjoyed, such as Fraudcast News, Thursdays With Abie, and the first segment in Love, Springfeldian Style (the Bonnie and Clyde one).

That's such a shame.
