Castlevania: Symphony of the night

I dunno if anyone here is a fan of 2-D sidescrolling adventure games, But Castlevania SOTN is the best one ever. Unfortunately it's very hard to find and very expensive but it's supposed to be coming out as a download on Xbox 360's live arcade sometime soon. It's an awesome, deep game. The only thing you could possibly complain about is the voice acting... :D

big fan of sidescrolling and in my opinion SOTN is the best one ever.  Which has always brought up to me why we havent gotten a bigger better version of it on a new gen console.  not a rehash but just the same format and a bigger game.  would sell like hot cakes.

yeah yeah its everyone's favorite. everyone except me

its a great game and all. I remember getting mine for $20 or less from one of those greatest hits bins or something
I never put it up as a favorite because you play Alucard, a vampire instead of a vampire slayer. And every Casltevania protagonist after Alucard just becomes femmier and femmier
I really do like pie.

I got my copy of this game back in 2004....NEW....for $14...at Blockbuster. They also had copies of Resident Evil 2. Anyways, I'm a big fan of this one. I've only played through twice, but it's very well made. The design is very nice for a 2D game, the music is fairly good, and the inverted castle was an excellent addition. I never got all the secrets (that extra percent from the Sword Familiar glitch), but I had fun doing what I did.
