Oh, I'm not insulting Potato Salad guy. I'm insulting the menality that says, "Hey, wouldn't it be hilarious if I gave this guy my money?"

Oh, it IS hilarious, and I can prove it!  Just send me your money, and see  how you feel!  If you don't think it's hilarious, don't worry!   I offer a 50% refund guarantee!  Guarantee not valid in this Universe

It's their money, what difference does it make to anyone else how it's spent?

For Twin Peaks fans, someone is looking to turn Laura Palmer's original house into a B & B:

I didn't even notice this was being kickstarted.  I am so glad it met its goal!

Well that's interesting.

The hardware seems pointless, and the description is kind of odd "a rooted android PC"?  Why not just a regular android PC?  Unless he plans to get a bunch of old smart phone guts and root them...

Seems like what people would be paying for is some kind of database of all streaming content and an app to access it.  Or in other words, the search feature on a Roku box....  >:D

One of the guys in a band that was on tour with my old band has a new album coming out via Kickstarter.  It's chip-pop.  He & his wife do all the music with a keyboard & an old school Game Boy.

Here's a video to them doing a cover of The Cave by Mumford & Sons

Dejobaan, an indie company that I dig, wants to make a game about writing, which is a topic I dig.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dejobaan/elegy-for-a-dead-world-a-game-about-writing-fictio?ref=ksr_staff

As you explore the game, it prompts you to write the story that you percieve based on your experiences. Sounds like a fun way to get over writer's block...

And this just arrived on Kickstarter:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cze/ghostbusters-the-board-game

Speaking as a backer of a lot of boardgames, they tend to be less drama-filled than the video games are. And this one's already funded too.

Oh, hey. I know the veep of that company. He still owes me money, actually.

Not Kickstarter, but Indie Go-Go.  An internet sitcom starring Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion as actors from a sci-fi show that was cancelled and then one of them became much more successful than the other.  You know, fiction.

Hmmm.

Steve Jackson games, maker of games such as GURPS, Munchkin, and Ogre, is slowly reviving their old Car Wars game line. Car Wars was a game where armed cars fought each other. It was awesome.

Anyway, they launch a new Kickstarter for a set of Arena maps on Wednesday, and one level is the $250 Sponsorship level, where you get to rename one of the arenas. Anyone want to group up and get Mass Solar Autoduel Arena in the game?
