Thought it was a bit weird that there hadn't been a thread started on this movie, considering the subject matter of this board.

I mean...SURELY I can't be the only one here who finds the image of Rose McGowan with a machine gun leg to be strangely arousing..................can I? ???
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I'm pretty excited about this one too, the previews look fantastically brutal.  Rodriguez is one of my favorite directors and his part has ZOMBIES.

Eagerly anticipating this one as well. Plus Kurt Russel in an invincible "death-proof" car? And it's opening right around my birthday.

One thing is for sure, QT knows how to entertain.  I'm only so-so on Rodriguez, but after Sin City, he's proved he can handle this type of material competently enough.

I, for one, can't wait. The concept amuses me to no end. I hope it works.

Right up there with Hot Fuzz for movies that I want to see for April.  QT can not do wrong in my eyes.  Well, maybe when he sticks his name on a movie that he liked, and the Weinsteins feel it will help the marketing campaign.

This trailer (Trailer #2, for those of you running to the film's web site to check it out) rocks my face. I'm glad I had the presence of mind to stick our only copy on the front of 300, ensuring maximum exposure.

The NEXT great "GUY'S" movie after 300?  Could be!

I loved 70's exploitation flicks!!  The crappier the better!  In fact, MSt3K kind of buttered its bread with them, if you think about it.

The Grindhouses were the best!  You could go in at like noon or 1 in the afternoon, baked and fried, and just sit there all day watching one terrible flick after another with your friends.  We were teenagers and couldn't yet legally get into bars or clubs so that's where we hung out.  Believe me, the Grindhouses seldom checked ID to see if you were old enough to get into R rated flicks.  The ushers were as baked as we were, LOL!!!  We would give each pic the MST3K treatment, (long before we knew what that was), laughing our stoner asses off.  Man, good times....  (also, probably what attracted me to MST3K in the first place!).

Admittedly, I got in on the end of the Grindhouse era and they vanished pretty quickly after like... summer of 78?  79? But it was golden for the brief time I had with them.  Drive-ins were great too.... shows from dusk til dawn....

Anyway, that's why I can't wait to see this one!  A tribute to the Grindhouses of my misspent youth!

I read an interview with QT about his part, and he says his film is going to be a mess on purpose, to authentically recreate the movies he saw at that time.  There'll be cuts where there shouldn't be, damaged film, and he even mentioned minutes missing from the film.  A joy for up projectionists to make up!

I totally forgot about the fake trailers that are gonna be in front of the movie!

Have you seen the trailer? Toward the end, it simulates a complete melt.

This comes out right on my birthday, and being a huge fan of QT, of course I'm going to see it!  It looks pretty awesome, I love the whole B-movie look they were going for.

We haven't got the trailers in yet.  Must remind my colleagues not to panic when it burns through.   :)
