"Luther" on BBC
« on: October 17, 2012, 05:08:12 PM »
I know they are going to make a season three soon.......come on Britain, hurry up.

That may be the best cop show I have ever seen.   I did not know Idris Elba was British until I started watching this.   He did so many US things (The Wire) I thought he was American.   He is amazing.

Watch them on Netflix or online somewhere else.

I was pacing myself pretty good up until tonight, just couldn't help myself, watched the last 2 of season 1 and then all 4 in season 2.

Just no way I could watch only one of those, impossible not to be drawn into the next episode.

And............ season 3 starts in the UK next week and will be on BBC America in September.

"BBC America had a press release and said that the series will be returning on September 3 with a week marathon of all 4 episodes

Luther season 3 will air from September 3-6 at 10pm, essentially turning the short-season show into its own miniseries"

Only four episodes?  Oh WHY are the BBC seasons so short?

Because BBC budgets are so tight, and leaving them wanting more is never a bad approch to things.

So a friend posted this on his wall the other day, and didn;t get any resposes, anyone able to help him out:

Quote
Just watched the first episode of the new series of cop show 'Luther' starring Idris Elba. Love this show... don't worry no spoilers. A weird thing though: early on a woman is walking home at night, she goes past a pub where there are people standing outside drinking just before the camera cuts away... we get a glimpse of one of the drinkers, he appears to have a goats head! I kid you not... I went back and checked a couple of times, if you have recorded it take a look. Doesn't appear to have anything to do with the plot... just weird.
