Good point. I forgot they mentioned him. (Not familiar with him other than recognizing the name)

Saw someone mention elsewhere that "Bob" was a nod to Deadpools punching bag of a sidekick.

Patton Oswalt is going to be on Agents of SHIELD:

http://marvel.com/news/tv/2014/3/20/22184/exclusive_patton_oswalt_enlists_in_marvels_agents_of_shield.

I haven't been watching the show, but I intend to when it comes out on DVD. This sounds pretty cool. My favorite part of the article is Patton talking about Googling the name hoping it was MODOK.

I really hope they keep going with the whole Shield/aliens conspiracy. That's much more interesting than monster-of-the-week format.

Not sure if anyones following this show and thread but if so, was this week's figure at the end
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
?

Were we supposed to recognize him?

I thought it was
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
but it was hard to tell given the condition of it. But
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

From what Coulson said to Sky in the last episode, I think your thought in your last spoiler (that I colored red) is sounding most likely.  Much more than what I had thought:

If you are referring to the tube (vague enough so hopefully that isn't considered a spoiler), they've already named one fairly well-known character, I believe that what you're referring to was supposed to be a 'test' for the process (or someone mid-way through the process).

Maybe we're both right?  Maybe it's a combination of (blood from what you put in red) to help the guy transition his body into accepting the tech for
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
? (Not sure if that last part needs to be spoilered or not since the upcoming episode lists Mike Peterson as that character & Marvel has released promo shots of him with that name on it as well.)

I watch a few episodes and really i wasn't all that impressed. But then again i don't care for 90% of anything on TV.  The best episode i saw was the one about the alien virus. For one it was one of the few episodes that wasn't about that annoying Skye character. Its funny that the least interesting character in the Marvel Movies (aka Agent Coulson). Is the best thing about the Show.

Anyway, all assumptions that Whedon would be returning to his usual acting stable to populate this series have hereby been challenged, at least until Amy Acker shows up.
Odd, it's like I heard a high-pitched whistle or something.

While Coulson wasn't exactly the center of the universe, I wouldn't call him uninteresting.  I for one was more interested in him during The Avengers than Hawkeye, and I'm not even hating on Hawkeye there.

Agreed. I particularly like the one about him getting a snack at a gas station during a holdup.

Damn it!

Apparently, if I want to remain spoiler free for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (for anything they change from the exceptional Brubaker comic storyline), then I have to stop watching 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' until after Winter Soldier comes to Blu-ray [it doesn't even have a release date yet].  According to the mailing from the Disney Movie Rewards site:
