I loved that Coulson stood in the same way when he blew the door open. Arms crossed; unphased by anything.

I've been stunned that despite (I assume) having more creative creative control than ever this seems to be the most one dimensional Whedon series ever however the last three eps seem to have started a bigger arc that may lead somewhere.

Whedon's shows (With the exception of Firefly) always seem to need a few episodes or even a season to start finding their teeth. I've only seen the first few episodes of Buffy, and if I were to judge it based on that, I'd say it wasn't all that great. But I've also seen one or two of the later episodes, so I know it got there eventually. The fact that this is Marvel and that comes with a built-in audience means Joss will have the time to develop this into something awesome. I see little seeds beginning to grow. I haven't given up on it yet, and I'm enjoying it, even in these early stages...

Loved the little nod to 'Dollhouse' in the first couple lines of dialog in Coulson's dream at the end.

it also looked a little too "human" to be Chitari, too small to be a Frost Giant... so I dunno... Kree maybe?

I had to look up on the internet to see what the initials meant and what kind of thing that was............I do not read comics.

Don't know the characters name, but at least I know what that thing gives off.....the good and the bad of it.

If you are referring to the tube (vague enough so hopefully that isn't considered a spoiler), they've already named one fairly well-known character, I believe that what you're referring to was supposed to be a 'test' for the process (or someone mid-way through the process).  The character they named was:

Deathlok, a rather unusual Marvel character from the mid-70s 'monster boom'.  Started in Strange Tales vol 2 #25.

That's who Charles Gunn Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) was turned into by the same group after he was blown up (so much of his biomass was missing).  It seemed that what was in the tube was just a 'first stage' attempt (either that or they were growing a Na'vi ).

My take on it was that, by seeing the 'test drive' for the process of cyborgifying someone (yes, I can make up a word here ), Coulson saw just how disturbing the life/death activities of this non-SHIELD company were, and just how little they regarded the two.

EDIT:  The cell-healing nature of the medication they went there for, I think he surmised, was what allowed for the cyborgifying of someone.  That was - at least in my thinking - why he ran like hell to try and keep Sky from getting injected: he didn't know what it would do.  [If that was the cyborgifying-compatibility medication (keeping tissue alive and allowing it to heal quickly in connection with electronics), Sky may become 'more computer compatible' in the future from that.]

In addition to what Pak wrote, this isn't a JOSS Whedon show.  Yes, he's 'leading the second wave' for Marvel films and helped design and create this, but this is very much a JED Whedon/Maurissa Tancharoen show.  [If it was a Joss show, he would have written and directed the premiere episode, and would do so for any 'major plot point' episodes (e.g. the 'Coulson finds out' episode).  He has neither written nor directed any of them thus far.]  Jed and Maurissa likely have bull sessions with him, throwing out ideas and the three tweaking them, but I doubt he's scouring the scripts for detail (there's not been a single 'Joss-ism' [phrasing/joke] that I can recall in all 14 episodes thus far).

So this series will continue to be far more comparable to Dollhouse than Firefly, Buffy, or Angel.  Dollhouse, as Pak said about 'pure' Joss shows, also took a while (til the end of the first season, actually) to get enough groundwork set to actually get into anything of serious depth (unfortunately for Dollhouse, most people had bailed on it by that point).  At this point, Agents is getting deeper (into emotional depth, as well as Marvel history/characters) than ever as it goes on.  By the end of this season I have no doubt there will be some serious - and seriously deep - shit hitting the fan.
