Anyone Want the MST3K Sets Boxes?
« on: August 27, 2012, 09:30:52 AM »
Now that I am going through my house wondering why I still have these weird things that have not been used in decades, I wonder why on EARTH I kept all the original boxes the MST3K box sets came in.........  I mean, I will NEVER use them for anything as I have all the dvds in Josh Way's dvd covers in thinpaks.  Also have all the CT dvd covers as I create my own thinpak covers for them.

Anyone think why I would still want these........or does anyone want them to replace their old ones.........or should I just toss them out on next trash day?

I bought one of them there plastic storage totes from WalMarts when I moved (actually I bought about ten of them.... mostly for my CD's) and I keep all my MST3k original cases in one of those.  I still don't know why I kept them either, but I will admit that I am glad I did.

I keep mine around in case I want to reference any of the special features. Although I am slowly ripping that kind of stuff and making new discs...

For the new Shout DVDs, I've been taking Josh's original covers and just adding their logo and special features to the cover and reprinting them.

I think these old boxes are gonna go bye-bye soon.

Personally, even though I have/like Josh Way's covers, I kinda wish I had covers in the style of the Shout slim covers.  Those are pretty sleek.  Only problem is that they don't have the episode numbers...

I'm still trying to decide if the Shout's mini posters would look great framed in a 4 or 5 frame longer frame (yeah, I'd have a lot of them to hang) or just put in a book like a photo album type....

I found some photo albums on Amazon that would fit them well.  I am going to get one for all mine... A frame would be too weird trying to add more when they are released.

Or maybe I'll do it graduation cap style, like on Twilight.

I frame em. I am going to put them all on the wall over my computer area or in a section of the living room eventually. Or maybe in my basement around my comic collection. Haven't decided yet.  I do have to crop them just a hair all around to fit the 5x7 frame.

Excepting for the Manos mini-poster, I bet. That one's an odd size for some reason.

The regular size won't fit into a keepcase. Manos didn't have a slip box or anything.

They have glass. They are the generic $3.99 frames from Michael's.

You can hang em or they have the stand.
