I learned that had it not been canceled, yeah, MST3K had a LOT more material they could have worked with.

From the movie?  I'll let you know after seeing it. :)

Oh, there are a lot of boobs in it, just not the good kind.

Okay, so I learned... Well I'm not sure WHAT I learned.

That Mexico I guess saw their wrestlers as sort of superheroes?

That they were really bad at dubbing their movies into English?

Pretty much, yeah. Think back to the Sampson vs. the Vampire Women. That intro of El Santo that we all find so hilariously funny? That probably got cheering ovations in the theaters in Mexico.

To be fair, it was probably an American copany that bought the movie for U.S. distribution and did the dubbing.

I learned that Death Robots are really just Death Zombies, but calling them Death Zombies would be superfluous. And the idea of a tight-buttocked man in a leather mask, leather gloves AND handcuffs is kinky as all hell!
WARNING: In case of Rapture, this dance belt will be unoccupied.

Oh, believe me, I was thinking of that movie a LOT during this one. In fact for a while there I was almost convinced this was a sequel of it or another movie in a series.  Then I realized the "heroes" in it were two different men.

I just find the Batman-like quality of the "hero" to be funny.  Masked, mysterious, flirts with the line of the law.

On the dubbing, it seemed to me like the voices still had a "tinge" of a Hispanic sound so I assumed it was dubbed by English-speaking Hispanics who still had a strong enough accents to make the translation muddy.  The grasp of English was good (saving some rambling lines, one spawned Kevin's "Diagram that sentence!") but the accents still made it hard to understand sometimes.  Well, that and the shitty audio which is neither the fault of Rifftrax nor the producers of the movie.  It's was just poor source material.

I do need to watch this one again, I was sleepy when I watched it so much of it is in a fog of memory.

I DO remember Mike being pretty bad at translating Spanish.  ;)

I learned that a 3ft tall midget with severely deformed legs can drive a taxi. Frankly, I'm not certain how he could even see out of the windows, let alone operate the vehicle.
