DVD Lab Pro help
« on: July 29, 2012, 04:57:11 PM »
So I'm trying to compile a DVD using DVD Lab Pro, and for whatever reason it now has an error and stops.

Here's what's happening: I'll go to compile the DVD, let it run. Toward the end, it will say:

Initializing audio packets

ERR Audio sampling rate neither 48KHz nor 96KHz.

Audio stream is provided

Aborted!

Can anyone help me out?

What format is your audio?

What format is your audio?

.AC3. I used BeLight to turn a 6 channel audio file from a DVD into six waves, then used Dan-Echo (I believe)'s method to make a 6 channel riff. I imported the six altered .wave files into Audacity and exported as an .AC3.

I also tried using just the .AC3 ripped from the DVD, and it did the same thing.

If it is doing it with a straight rip of the DVDs AC3 then I have no idea. Unless somehow along the way you are changing the sampling rate of the audio.

All your audio tracks should be in AC3 format.  It looks like you've already changed that.  Most likely what's happening is they've got an incompatible sampling rate.  It should be 48000 (Hertz?  I forget what it's measured in).  DVD Lab shows you what these rates are in the "Video and Audio" tab.  If for some reason the rip of the DVD didn't bring it out as 48000 Hz, you can import the AC3 into Audacity, change the rate, then re-export it.

I just did that. I made sure everything was at 48KHz, even redoing the audio files, and I got the same error.

How many audio files do you have?  If more than one, try taking them out one at a time, then recompiling.  That could help narrow down which one is the broken file.  When you determine that, you could try converting to WAV format with PX3 convert, then converting back to AC3 using FFMPEGUI or Audacity.

I have three audio files, one riff, one non riff, and one for the intro skit.

I will try it, though at this point I've redone all three audios four times.

Well I'm willing to bet that it's just one of those 3 files that is causing trouble, so I would just try to narrow down which it is before doing anything else.

That's bizarre.  What's the total size of all the audio files.  If you want, zip them and mail them to me at mstabosz at gmail dot com and I can take a look.

So I figured out what was wrong. After five days of doing everything I could think of to the movie/riff audio, I discovered that it was, in fact, the music for the menus that wasn't coded properly. I feel like such a maroon.

Oh geeze I should have realized that.  I've done the same thing.
