For The Introduction Starved...
(1/1)
jsofjimandlarry:
I'm Jim Snowden. I've been an MST3K fan since 2000, when a co-worker lent me a tape consisting of Eegah, The Starfighters, and The Sinister Urge. Since then I've seen most of the episodes, and I've recently taken to rifling through Cinematic Titanic on Hulu and Rifftrax. (By the way, take Rifftrax's warnings about the nudity in The Room seriously. Trust me. It's not good naked. And Mr. Wiseau, if you insist on disrobing for love scenes, I have one request: next time, bathe.)
My colleague Larry (http://www.larrydahlke.com/larry/site/default.aspx) and I also riff movies from time to time over on iRiffs. Our focus is on shorts. So far we've done "The House the Middle" http://www.rifftrax.com/iriffs/house-middle-iriff-edition, "How to Be Well Groomed" http://www.rifftrax.com/iriffs/how-be-well-groomed-iriff-edition, and "Another Cup of Coffee" http://www.rifftrax.com/iriffs/another-cup-coffee. In our riffs Larry and I try to explore the vital themes of our age through the time tested medium of masturbation jokes.
When not riffing, I publish short story anthologies and produce audio dramas. To hear them and/or spend money on them, visit www.theinternetplayhouse.com. I also have a novel of my own coming out from Booktrope Press http://www.booktrope.com/ called Dismantle the Sun.
That, sadly, is as interesting as I get.
Johnny Unusual:
Why that's plenty interesting. Welcome to the forums. There's always lots to do around here, so I welcome new members with open arms. For hugging. Not like weapons. Human arms.
Tripe H. Redux:
Meanwhile I welcome them with open weapon ports, to show I respect them, like the Minbari, it's an approach that has zero potential for misunderstanding.
jsofjimandlarry:
Thanks. Whether we're talking open arms or open weapons ports, your kindness overwhelms. I swoon.
ScottotD:
Ahoy
