RiffTrax Discussion > General RiffTrax talk
Which guest riffer don't you really care for?
GordonZola:
Sorry to whiz on anyone's chips here, but who don't you like?
I find Paul F Tompkins painfully unfunny.
Danecho1967:
James Lileks on the Spiderman 3 riff did nothing for me. Shame too, because the movie deserved a good riffing.
Thrifty:
When did Paul Tompkins guest riff?
Wernski:
Chad Vader springs immediately to mind. ;D
I like several of them - including Paul F Tompkins - as well as Mary J Pehl, Fred Willard (my fave; he just seemed surprisingly well-suited for the format) and Weird Al. And I was pleasantly surprised by Bridget Nelson.
I forgot about James on Spider-Man 2 and 3, yeah, I didn't care for him at all. Neal Patrick Harris just felt like a celebrity who wandered into the wrong studio; and whoever was on Red Dawn, Troll 2, and Ocean's 11 just felt like a poor substitute for Kevin and Mike. It seemed like, for a brief period there, Rifftrax was just throwing random people onto tracks whether or not they added anything or were likely to be any good at riffing. I'm glad that period's over now, but I'd love to see Mary J or Fred Willard come back, or any more of the Cin Tan/MST3K guys for another collaboration.

I'll second that.
Also agree that Lileks wasn't that great.
