yeah I've heard of Dread Zepplin, and Hayseed Dixie,... The Dementia music scene is probably the music I follow the most closely (anything that might show up on Dr Demento).

Too bad there's on one in radio (satelite included as far as I know) to take his place yet....  but at least you can get CDs like Barnes & Barnes' Voobaha on ebay for $1

I love Barnes & Barnes. My favorite review of them described them as:

"...the kind of people who would tell evil lies about you to your mother..."
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

:D that's great, it reminded me of some review that's been killing me trying to remember.... but....

do you have any CDs that aren't Voobaha?  I keep thinking I should look into more but don't know where to go..... how can they top songs like Boogie Woogie Amputee, Graveyard Girls, Neanderthal Love, and of course Fish Heads?

Not a big fan of mashups or anything but this one is pretty funny and oddly catchy:

CRANK THAT WHIP

DEVO Vs SOULJA BOY

Meh. It's no Funky Goes to Hollywood.

I'm also pretty fond of Dean Gray's American Edit. Doctor Who on Holiday is a hell of a song.

Best one I've heard is Legion Of Doom's Incorporated album.  If you search around you can find it online pretty easily.

Track list:

It's a really good album.

I just stumbled across Wugazi.

It's mashups of Wu Tang & Fugazi.  Haven't listened to much of it, but there's not enough sampling of Fugazi for my liking.  I'm not completely disappointed though.

"I Can't Lick You Out of My Bed" - Kylie Minogue Vs. Ludacris; oddly, I like the mashup better than the original tracks.

Kylie actually did her OWN mashup of Can't Get You Out of My Head and New Order's Blue Monday... called (of course) "I Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head"

If I recall correctly, she mashed it all up herself and then "premiered" it at the EMA awards.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlyKT2RlVvA  (I have the actual premier on a dvd, but this is close/same. Too lazy to figure out if this is the one tho)

[edit]I think it was THIS one, actually..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1QTu5fRplw  Okay, I'm done for now.[/edit]
